Lost in translation?
Some students have been saying that the English ability of some exchange students have been so bad, that working together in groups have proven to be difficult. One girl even dropped out of her master’s class because she found it impossible to work with the exchange students in her course. But is this really the whole story? What do the exchange students have to say about this?
Norwegian sports teams for international students
Soccer, basketball, ice hockey – it doesn’t matter which sport, but joining a sports team is always fun. A lot of sports teams in Kristiansand and at UiA offer a huge amount of different possibilities for everyone.
Are exchange students lonely?
– Norwegian students shouldn’t be afraid to talk to our international students and shouldn’t be afraid to use English. It is also important to remember to use English and not Norwegian in a study group with international students who do not know the language. Getting to know our international students gives you so much back.
From Uganda to Norway
As a student and teacher of geography in secondary school back in Uganda, Norway with its unique geography, especially its relief and the fishing industry, always interested me; I was hoping to visit Norway and the Scandinavian countries as a whole.
